"It's the repetition of affirmations that leads to belief. And once that belief becomes a deep conviction, things begin to happen." - Muhammad Ali.
Northwood High School recognized eight student-athletes who decided where they would take their talents officially, and were honored in a National Signing Day ceremony formerly held in the school's media center on Wednesday, November 15, 2017. It was a monumental day for some of the most notable Northwood senior athletes securing their college future for National Collegiate Athletic Association (NCAA) colleges and universities in the United States.

The Northwood High School swim team program seem to use a lot of ink as a total of five student-athletes put pen to paper signing their letters to swim in college. This is a National early signing period for the 2017-2018 school year. Athletes in sports other than football, soccer and water polo can sign between Nov. 8-15, 2017. The National Signing Day (Early Decision Period) is an event to indicate a student athlete's commitment to participate in National Collegiate Athletic Association (NCAA) colleges and universities in the United States.
This event is a wonderful celebration of a student-athlete's hard work, and represents years of dedication on behalf of athletes and their families, and the Irvine high school sports community as a whole.
Congratulations to all the Northwood High School students who have committed to a college, and have signed with their NCAA Division I-III future school.
“Today was extra special," said Head Coach Alex Nieto "We're all very proud of these student-athletes tremendous accomplishments and college decisions. Just as important congratulations to their invested parents and families."
