Author: Swim Staff/Thursday, March 29, 2018

As it has been all season long, depth has been the story from Northwood freshman like Charlotte Waddell above en route to winning the JV Girls 200 IM.  Photo courtesy of Mitch Mallough.

Two giants of the pool collided at the Northwood Aquatic Center today as the Timberwolves showed its aquatic prowess by dominating cross town rivals University High School.  Expectations couldn't be high enough for this clash as the Timberwolves came out hungry and delivered a dominating performance on Wednesday, March 28, 2018.

The much anticipated match resulted in Northwood boys and girls each pulling off seven first-place finishes in their varsity individual race events.  The Timberwolves' boys took two of the three relay titles, while the girls swept all three against University.  Northwood boys placed twelve in the top 3 for individual events, while the girls claimed seventeen.

Northwood boys varsity scored a dual meet ending 105 - 65, while the Lady T-Wolves found their way all afternoon in the winning column which culminated in swimming away with a 104- 66 victory.

As it has been all season long, depth has been the story from Northwood freshman proving to be a valuable part of the promising future of this team.  The Timberwolves freshman class were huge contributors at this meet with 16 event title wins overall in combined genders and divisions.

Though the Timberwolves' masterful performance undoubtedly deserves to be celebrated, there won't be too much time to dwell on it, as they face another familiar foe on Wednesday, April 11th against Corona Del Mar Sea Kings & Queens.  Northwood's boys have been on a remarkable run, however every match- up between the two has been incredibly tight, and would be a shock not to see this one come down to the wire.
