Junior national swimmer Hunter Hitchens has committed to swim in the Ivy League for Columbia University. Hitchens is a junior at Northwood High School and competes for the Irvine Novaquatics swim club. He is one of the top national recruits in the class of 2029 and will begin his NCAA swimming career in the Fall of 2025.

Although individual and team titles were not in reach at the 2024 CIF Southern Section D1 Swimming and Diving Championships at the Mt. San Antonio College Marguerite Aquatics Complex on May 4, 2024, the boy's team morale and self efficacy could not have been better.

The National Interscholastic Swim Coaches Association (NISCA) distinguished eight of Northwood's elite swimmers as First Team NISCA All-Americans, an honor reflective of their exceptional performances during the 2023 high school swim season.

Being part of the Northwood High School swim team is more than athletics.  Academics is equally as important as nineteen "true leaders" exhibited their passion and excellence as student athletes in receiving the prestigious Charter Oak Award..

After an evening of finals competition at the 2023 CIF State Swimming Championships the Northwood Timberwolves boy's swim pulled out a third-place finish against 69 top high school swim teams in California.  The overall weekend success shined for Northwood, and featured several strong swims on Saturday, May 15, 2023 at the Clovis Olympic Swim Complex in Fresno, Ca.

For the third straight year, the Northwood Timberwolves boys swim team closed its regular season as champions earning their Pacific Coast League best title overall against seven member high schools at the Beckman High School Aquatic Center on Friday, April 28, 2023.

The Cal State University-East Bay women's swimming and diving team has received a verbal commitment from Addison Cadena. She will suit up for the Pioneers in the Fall of 2023.

The only word to describe the Northwood Timberwolves swim team's tremendous results at the 2023 Spring H.S. Meet of Champions is "impactful" because of the astounding overall team results. A total of 46 Northwood swimmers made that impact at the Mt. SAC Aquatic Center on the campus of Mt. San Antonio College April 14-15, 2023.

The Northwood Timberwolves "Defended The Den" against Irvine High School at the NHS Aquatic Center on Wednesday, March 29, 2023.  As it has been all season long, the story line was depth as Northwood's Lady T-Wolves triumphed over the Vaqueros, 88-82, and their boys by a wider margin 126-44 over Irvine.

The white, navy blue and silver garnered extra motivation today as Northwood's depth was put to the test and delivered when needed most scoring a boy's win over University in an absolute thriller from start to finish.  

Northwood High School's Derek Hitchens, Will Chen and Christopher Leung were recognized by USA Swimming as Scholastic All-Americans for the 2021-2022 swim season, and past academic year.
